MANILA, Philippines – Four-piece indie rock band Plagpul is bringing their music to Rappler for the first time on Thursday, April 10!
Plagpul’s music is defined by the political and social commentary on issues in Philippine society that they inject into their lyrics. Over the years, they’ve gone on to release songs like “Apo-Apologist” — which criticizes trolls — and “Pula ang Kulay ng Pag-ibig,” which is described as a love song for activists.
Plagpul has Pol on bass and vocals, Jimmy on guitar and vocals, Foom on guitars, an Airon on drums. They have dropped several independently produced albums since starting out: Buy One, Thank Juan; and Tard World Problems.
